Ernakulam Records Five Leptospirosis Deaths in July

Ernakulam district in Kerala has reported five deaths due to leptospirosis in the first 13 days of July, the highest in the state. The cases were registered in areas including Kalamassery and Kuttampuzha. Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease spread through the urine of infected animals, often exacerbated by heavy rainfall and flooding.

केरल के एर्नाकुलम जिले में जुलाई के पहले 13 दिनों में लेप्टोस्पायरोसिस से पांच लोगों की मौत हो गई है। यह राज्य में सबसे ज़्यादा है। कलामस्सेरी और कुट्टंपुझा जैसे इलाकों में मामले सामने आए हैं। लेप्टोस्पायरोसिस एक बैक्टीरियल बीमारी है जो संक्रमित जानवरों के पेशाब से फैलती है। भारी बारिश और बाढ़ से यह और बढ़ जाती है।
