Kerala HC Orders Road Safety System Revamp

The Kerala High Court has mandated a comprehensive overhaul of the state's road safety infrastructure, issuing directives for road design, maintenance, and private bus operations. A technology-driven Integrated Road Safety Monitoring Platform will be established to enable real-time monitoring and better agency coordination. The court identified overspeeding, dangerous driving, and unaddressed black spots as major accident contributors. These directives, with deadlines ranging from 15 days to six months, aim to significantly reduce fatal road accidents across Kerala.
