Senior Railway Officer Inspects Sundaraperumal Koil-Aduthurai Stretch For Doubling

Sushil Kumar Maurya, Chief Administrative Officer of Southern Railway Construction Organisation, inspected the Sundaraperumal Koil to Aduthurai broad gauge line on Thursday. The inspection precedes the doubling of this 21.5-km stretch, sanctioned by the Railway Board at an estimated cost of ₹289.17 crore. Tenders for the project are expected within a week, with completion targeted by December 2027. The doubling requires acquisition of nine hectares of land from the State government. Local traders requested extending the doubling work further.

दक्षिणी रेलवे निर्माण संगठन के मुख्य प्रशासनिक अधिकारी सुशील कुमार मौर्या ने गुरुवार को सुंदरपेरुमल कोइल से अडुतुरई तक ब्रॉड गेज लाइन का निरीक्षण किया। यह निरीक्षण 21.5 किलोमीटर लंबे इस खंड के दोहरीकरण से पहले हुआ है, जिसे रेलवे बोर्ड ने ₹289.17 करोड़ की अनुमानित लागत से मंजूरी दी है। परियोजना के लिए टेंडर एक सप्ताह के भीतर आने की उम्मीद है, और इसे दिसंबर 2027 तक पूरा करने का लक्ष्य है। दोहरीकरण के लिए राज्य सरकार से नौ हेक्टेयर भूमि का अधिग्रहण करना होगा। स्थानीय व्यापारियों ने दोहरीकरण कार्य को आगे बढ़ाने का अनुरोध किया।
