Bhubaneswar to Get Five Smart Parking Zones

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to establish five smart parking zones across the city to improve urban parking management and reduce illegal roadside parking. Three zones will be located along the Left Parallel Road, with two more under the Bomikhal and Khandagiri flyovers. These facilities will feature app-based booking, geo-fencing, and surveillance systems, allowing motorists to check real-time availability and reserve slots. The initiative aims to curb illegal parking and enhance traffic management in congested areas.

शहर में शहरी पार्किंग प्रबंधन को बेहतर बनाने और अवैध सड़क किनारे पार्किंग को कम करने के लिए शहर भर में पाँच स्मार्ट पार्किंग ज़ोन स्थापित करने की योजना बना रहा है। तीन ज़ोन Left Parallel Road के किनारे होंगे, और दो Bomikhal और Khandagiri flyovers के नीचे होंगे। इन सुविधाओं में ऐप-आधारित बुकिंग, जियो-फेंसिंग और निगरानी प्रणाली होगी, जिससे वाहन चालक रियल-टाइम उपलब्धता की जाँच कर सकेंगे और स्लॉट आरक्षित कर सकेंगे। इस पहल का उद्देश्य अवैध पार्किंग पर अंकुश लगाना और भीड़भाड़ वाले इलाकों में यातायात प्रबंधन को बढ़ाना है।
