An elderly woman was reportedly made to clean the floor of Damoh district hospital after her ailing son soiled it. A video of the incident, which occurred on Saturday, went viral, sparking a political debate about sanitation in Madhya Pradesh's government hospitals. The woman's son has since been discharged. Authorities have issued show-cause notices to the nursing officer, cleaning agency, and assistant hospital manager, with further action pending an inquiry. The hospital employs around 52 outsourced cleaners.

एक बुजुर्ग महिला को कथित तौर पर दमोह जिला अस्पताल का फर्श साफ करने के लिए कहा गया, जब उसके बीमार बेटे ने उसे गंदा कर दिया था। शनिवार को हुई इस घटना का एक वीडियो वायरल हो गया, जिससे मध्य प्रदेश के सरकारी अस्पतालों में स्वच्छता को लेकर राजनीतिक बहस छिड़ गई। महिला के बेटे को तब से छुट्टी मिल चुकी है। अधिकारियों ने नर्सिंग अधिकारी, सफाई एजेंसी और सहायक अस्पताल प्रबंधक को कारण बताओ नोटिस जारी किया है, और जांच लंबित होने पर आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी। अस्पताल में लगभग 52 आउटसोर्स सफाई कर्मचारी कार्यरत हैं।
