Producer Ekta Kapoor revealed that as a child, wearing a tilak or a sacred thread led people to view her strangely, with some even calling her a 'tantric'. She questioned why religious symbols should be considered odd, highlighting a perceived discrimination against Hinduism and Indian mythology in the industry. Kapoor argued that just as foreign fantasy and animation are accepted, Indian folklore and myths should also be embraced with similar ease.
