Nepal Avalanche Kills Two, 12 Missing

Rescuers are searching for 12 people missing after an avalanche on Mount Himlung in Nepal killed at least two climbers. The avalanche struck on Sunday, and 10 people have since been rescued. The bodies of the two deceased Nepali nationals were airlifted to Kathmandu on Monday. The incident occurred as expedition workers prepared for foreign clients during the autumn climbing season. Heavy rainfall had also caused flooding and landslides in the region over the weekend.
