UK Nationalises British Steel From Chinese Owner

The UK government has nationalised British Steel, taking control of the Scunthorpe plant from Chinese owner Jingye Group. The factory, the nation's last capable of producing steel from raw materials, faced closure last year. Jingye had deemed the plant financially unviable, prompting government intervention to prevent its shutdown.

ब्रिटेन की सरकार ने ब्रिटिश स्टील को अपने नियंत्रण में ले लिया है। अब स्कनथॉर्प प्लांट चीनी मालिक जिंग्ये ग्रुप से सरकार के अधीन आ गया है। यह फैक्ट्री देश की एकमात्र ऐसी जगह है जहाँ कच्चे माल से स्टील बनाया जाता है। पिछले साल इसके बंद होने का खतरा था। जिंग्ये ग्रुप ने इसे घाटे का सौदा बताया था, इसलिए सरकार ने इसे बंद होने से बचाने के लिए यह कदम उठाया है।
