A court in the United Arab Emirates has handed down life sentences to eight individuals for their involvement in arms trafficking and money laundering operations targeting Sudan's army. The convicted were part of an integrated scheme to illicitly traffic weapons and military equipment, using forged documents and company accounts to conceal financial transactions. The court ordered the confiscation of related assets and the deportation of the convicts after their sentences are served.
