Jaipur Flower Garland Scam: Rs 17 Lakhs Spent on Flowers in 8 Months

Jaipur's Municipal Corporation garden branch is under scrutiny for alleged corruption in flower garland purchases. Officials reportedly spent over Rs 17 lakhs on garlands in just eight months for various events. Shockingly, records show purchases from a single firm at nearly double the market rate. In some instances, hundreds of garlands were bought for events with only five to ten guests.

जयपुर की नगर निगम गार्डन ब्रांच पर फूलों की मालाओं की खरीद में कथित भ्रष्टाचार को लेकर सवाल उठ रहे हैं। अधिकारियों ने कथित तौर पर विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों के लिए सिर्फ आठ महीनों में मालाओं पर 17 लाख रुपये से ज़्यादा खर्च किए। चौंकाने वाली बात यह है कि रिकॉर्ड्स में बाज़ार दर से लगभग दोगुने दाम पर एक ही फर्म से खरीद दिखाई गई है। कुछ मामलों में, केवल पांच से दस मेहमानों वाले कार्यक्रमों के लिए सैकड़ों मालाएं खरीदी गईं।
