SC Overturns NGT Order on Yamuna Floodplains

The Supreme Court has set aside a National Green Tribunal order that held the Art of Living Foundation responsible for damaging the Yamuna floodplains during its 2016 World Culture Festival. The court directed the DDA to refund ₹5 crore to the foundation.

एससी ने यमुना बाढ़ के मैदानों पर एनजीटी के आदेश को पलटा

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने नेशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्यूनल (NGT) के उस आदेश को रद्द कर दिया है जिसमें आर्ट ऑफ लिविंग फाउंडेशन को 2016 के वर्ल्ड कल्चर फेस्टिवल के दौरान यमुना के बाढ़ क्षेत्र को नुकसान पहुंचाने का दोषी ठहराया गया था। कोर्ट ने DDA को फाउंडेशन को 5 करोड़ रुपये वापस करने का निर्देश दिया है।
