Drunk Driving Suspected in ECIL Hit-and-Run Injuring Seven Bar Workers

Seven bar workers were injured, three seriously, after a car allegedly driven by a drunk driver hit them from behind near ECIL on September 29. The driver, identified as 36-year-old Pavan Kumar, fled the scene. Police have issued a notice to Kumar and are awaiting blood sample analysis from the Forensic Science Laboratory to confirm suspected drunk driving. The injured were initially treated at a private hospital before being shifted for further care. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and investigations are ongoing.
