Uttarakhand Voter List Sees 9 Lakh Names Deleted After Revision

Uttarakhand's final voter list has seen the deletion of approximately 9 lakh names following a special intensive revision of electoral rolls. The state Election Commission reported that the total number of voters has decreased to 71.5 lakh from the previous 79.6 lakh. This reduction represents a significant decrease of about 10.1% in the state's electorate. Uttarakhand is one of 19 states and Union Territories undergoing this voter roll revision process.

विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण के बाद उत्तराखंड की अंतिम मतदाता सूची से लगभग 9 लाख नाम हटा दिए गए हैं। राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग ने बताया कि कुल मतदाताओं की संख्या पिछले 79.6 लाख से घटकर 71.5 लाख हो गई है। यह कमी राज्य के मतदाताओं में लगभग 10.1% की महत्वपूर्ण गिरावट दर्शाती है। उत्तराखंड उन 19 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में से एक है जो इस मतदाता सूची पुनरीक्षण प्रक्रिया से गुजर रहे हैं।
