Karnataka Minister Says CM Will Decide On Sting Operation Probe

Karnataka Minister Basavaraj Rayaraddi stated that Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will make an appropriate decision regarding an investigation into an alleged sting operation. Different leaders have proposed various inquiry methods, including CBI, CID, or judicial probes. Rayaraddi emphasized that the government has left the matter to the Chief Minister's discretion. He also addressed the sugarcane growers' agitation, noting that while farmer issues need prompt resolution, the current council poll model code of conduct prevents immediate announcements on sugarcane prices. A farmer-friendly decision is expected after the elections conclude.

कर्नाटक के मंत्री बसवराज रायरेडी ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री डी. के. शिवकुमार कथित स्टिंग ऑपरेशन की जांच को लेकर उचित फैसला करेंगे। विभिन्न नेताओं ने सीबीआई, सीआईडी या न्यायिक जांच सहित जांच के विभिन्न तरीकों का प्रस्ताव दिया है। रायरेडी ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि सरकार ने यह मामला मुख्यमंत्री के विवेक पर छोड़ दिया है। उन्होंने गन्ना किसानों के आंदोलन को भी संबोधित किया, यह देखते हुए कि किसानों के मुद्दों को तुरंत हल करने की आवश्यकता है, लेकिन वर्तमान परिषद चुनाव आचार संहिता तत्काल गन्ने की कीमतों पर घोषणाओं को रोकती है। चुनाव संपन्न होने के बाद किसान-अनुकूल निर्णय की उम्मीद है।
