Naga Students' Body Backs Phased Bar on "Illegal Immigrants"
The Hindu · india
NSF has endorsed the APO resolution to gradually prohibit "illegal immigrants" from working or renting property in Angami-controlled areas. The NSF encourages other Naga organisations to adopt similar measures to enforce the Inner-Line Permit (ILP) and curb illegal immigration. The APO's phased approach, starting December 31, 2026, aims to allow communities time to comply with regulations regarding employment, services, and tenancy. This move is driven by concerns over demographic shifts and weak enforcement of existing laws.
