The Indian rupee closed 22 paise weaker at 95.96 against the US dollar on Thursday, driven by heavy dollar demand from importers and rising crude oil prices. Brent crude reached $104 a barrel again, fueling inflation concerns and anticipation of further US Federal Reserve rate hikes. गुरुवार को भारतीय रुपया अमेरिकी डॉलर के मुकाबले 22 पैसे गिरकर 95.96 पर बंद हुआ। आयातकों की भारी डॉलर मांग और कच्चे तेल की बढ़ती कीमतों ने इसे नीचे धकेला। ब्रेंट क्रूड फिर से 104 डॉलर प्रति बैरल पर पहुँच गया, जिससे महंगाई की चिंता बढ़ी और फेडरल रिजर्व से ब्याज दरें बढ़ने की उम्मीद जगी। RBI को डॉलर बेचते देखा गया। विश्लेषकों का मानना है कि रुपया 96 को पार कर सकता है।
