Student Found Dead in Homestay, Friend Arrested

A Guwahati University student, Nimisha, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a homestay. Her family reported that she called her mother around 2 AM, stating she was being beaten and having trouble breathing before the call disconnected. Police have sealed the homestay and arrested a man named Ashiq Ali and the homestay owner. Ashiq Ali claims Nimisha committed suicide, but police are awaiting post-mortem results to determine the cause of death. The incident has sparked protests with allegations of 'love jihad'.

होमस्टे में छात्र का शव मिला, दोस्त गिरफ्तार

गुवाहाटी यूनिवर्सिटी की छात्रा निमिषा की एक होमस्टे में संदिग्ध हालत में लाश मिली है। परिवार का कहना है कि निमिषा ने रात 2 बजे माँ को फोन कर बताया था कि उसकी पिटाई हो रही है और साँस लेने में दिक्कत हो रही है, फिर फोन कट गया। पुलिस ने होमस्टे सील कर आशिक अली नाम के एक व्यक्ति और होमस्टे मालिक को गिरफ्तार किया है। आशिक अली का कहना है कि निमिषा ने खुदकुशी की है, लेकिन पुलिस पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट का इंतजार कर रही है।
