UP Mandates BIS Certification For Packaged Water Plants By March 2027

FSDA has mandated that all packaged drinking and mineral water bottling plants must obtain BIS certification. New units will only receive licenses after securing this certification. Existing units, including those with central licenses, must also comply by the deadline. Failure to do so after April 1, 2027, will result in license suspension and production shutdown.

एफएसडीए ने आदेश दिया है कि सभी पैक किए गए पीने के पानी और मिनरल वाटर बॉटलिंग प्लांट को बीआईएस सर्टिफिकेशन लेना होगा। नए यूनिट को यह सर्टिफिकेशन मिलने के बाद ही लाइसेंस मिलेगा। मौजूदा यूनिट, जिनमें सेंट्रल लाइसेंस वाले भी शामिल हैं, को भी समय सीमा तक इसका पालन करना होगा। 1 अप्रैल, 2027 के बाद ऐसा न करने पर लाइसेंस निलंबित कर दिया जाएगा और उत्पादन बंद कर दिया जाएगा।
