Bengal to Host 12,400 New Durga Pujas This Year, CM Announces

West Bengal will witness 12,400 new Durga Pujas this year, increasing the total from 45,000 to 57,400. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced that the state has approved these new applicants and arranged grants for them. He contrasted this with previous times when people had to approach the high court to organize the festival. The government also plans to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to eligible puja committees, with over 200 big-budget committees opting out.

इस साल पश्चिम बंगाल में 12,400 नई दुर्गा पूजा होंगी, जिससे कुल संख्या 45,000 से बढ़कर 57,400 हो जाएगी। मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने घोषणा की कि राज्य ने इन नए आवेदकों को मंजूरी दे दी है और उनके लिए अनुदान की व्यवस्था की है। उन्होंने इसकी तुलना पिछले समय से की जब लोगों को त्योहार आयोजित करने के लिए हाई कोर्ट जाना पड़ता था। सरकार योग्य पूजा समितियों को 1 लाख रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करने की भी योजना बना रही है, जिसमें 200 से अधिक बड़े बजट वाली समितियां बाहर हो गई हैं।
