Toyota is considering introducing hybrid technology in smaller car segments in India, contingent on market demand and customer feedback. The company, which has already satisfied three lakh customers with its hybrid vehicles in India, views smaller cars as a potential growth area. Vice President Kie Takemiya expressed confidence in hybrid technology and her personal wish for its expansion into smaller models. Toyota sees India as a crucial growth market, aiming for it to play a larger role in representing the global South and reaching world-class status.
