The mother of the RG Kar rape-murder victim and Panihati BJP MLA Ratna Debnath has alleged lapses in the investigation against CBI officer Seema Pahuja, who previously led the case. Debnath expressed dissatisfaction with the CBI's investigation so far, citing questions about Pahuja's role. She demanded an impartial inquiry and immediate action against the officer. The Calcutta High Court recently transferred the victim's cremation dispute investigation to the CBI, cautioning officials against interfering with the SIT probe. Debnath stated she will only be satisfied when her daughter receives justice.

आरजी कर बलात्कार-हत्या पीड़िता और पानीहाटी भाजपा विधायक रत्ना देबनाथ ने सीबीआई अधिकारी सीमा पाहूजा के खिलाफ जांच में कथित खामियों का आरोप लगाया है, जिन्होंने पहले इस मामले का नेतृत्व किया था। देबनाथ ने पाहूजा की भूमिका पर सवाल उठाते हुए अब तक सीबीआई की जांच पर असंतोष व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने एक निष्पक्ष जांच और अधिकारी के खिलाफ तत्काल कार्रवाई की मांग की। कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय ने हाल ही में पीड़िता के अंतिम संस्कार विवाद की जांच सीबीआई को सौंप दी थी, और अधिकारियों को एसआईटी जांच में हस्तक्षेप न करने की चेतावनी दी थी। देबनाथ ने कहा कि जब तक उनकी बेटी को न्याय नहीं मिल जाता, तब तक वह संतुष्ट नहीं होंगी।
