Neil Brand Scores 152 Against Australia After Tough Captaincy Stint

Hindustan Times · sports

Former South Africa captain Neil Brand has made a remarkable comeback, scoring an impressive 152 runs off 174 balls against the touring Australian team. Brand led a makeshift South African side in a Test series against New Zealand earlier this year, a challenging experience he has since reflected on. He admitted the captaincy took a toll but feels he is now in a much better mental and batting space. Brand's performance included facing top Australian bowlers like Pat Cummins and spinner Nathan Lyon, whom he greatly admires.
