India Rejects Pakistan's UN Indus Treaty Claims

Pakistan's attempt to present Indus Waters Treaty arbitration decisions to the UN Security Council has been rejected by India. India's Ministry of External Affairs stated Pakistan is misrepresenting facts and that the tribunal's decisions are from a body India does not recognize. India reiterated its stance that the treaty's application is linked to Pakistan taking credible action against cross-border terrorism, a position it has held since halting treaty proceedings after a 2025 terror attack.
