Young People Urged to Prepare for Disasters at Anantapur Event

Young people in Anantapur have been urged to develop disaster preparedness and respond promptly during emergencies to reduce loss of life and property. A programme marking International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction 2026, themed 'Resilience Starts at Home', was organised by Mera Yuva Bharat (MYBharat) in coordination with several local organisations. The District Fire Department conducted a mock fire safety drill, demonstrating essential prevention and response techniques. Painting competitions were also held to promote awareness among students and youth, aiming to empower them with skills for building disaster-resilient communities.

अनंतपुर में युवाओं से कहा गया है कि वे आपदा तैयारी विकसित करें और आपात स्थिति के दौरान तुरंत प्रतिक्रिया दें ताकि जान-माल के नुकसान को कम किया जा सके। 'रेसिलिएंस स्टार्ट्स एट होम' थीम के साथ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आपदा जोखिम न्यूनीकरण दिवस 2026 के उपलक्ष्य में एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन मेरा युवा भारत (MYBharat) ने कई स्थानीय संगठनों के सहयोग से किया। जिला अग्निशमन विभाग ने आवश्यक रोकथाम और प्रतिक्रिया तकनीकों का प्रदर्शन करते हुए एक मॉक फायर सेफ्टी ड्रिल का आयोजन किया। छात्रों और युवाओं के बीच जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिताएं भी आयोजित की गईं, जिसका उद्देश्य उन्हें आपदा-लचीला समुदाय बनाने के लिए कौशल से लैस करना था।
