India's Asian Games Cricket Semifinal Against Sri Lanka Set After Rain Delays

Times of India · sports

Sunshine has finally arrived in Japan after a week of persistent rain that affected several Asian Games cricket matches. India is set to face Sri Lanka in the semifinal on Thursday, with Pakistan playing Bangladesh in the other. India, considered favourites to win gold, have had limited on-field action, playing only a truncated match against Japan. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, has not yet taken the field. Despite potential rustiness, India boasts a strong T20 talent pool, while Sri Lanka is fielding a second-string team.
