Child Rights Body Seeks Report On Alleged Hostel Abuse In Ongole

The Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) has requested a report from Prakasam district officials regarding the alleged sexual abuse of a girl from a BC Welfare hostel in Ongole. The incident occurred on September 29 when a cook allegedly sent two girls to a private house where one was abused by a retired employee. The accused has been arrested under the POCSO Act. SCPCR member Vundavalli Gandhi Babu stated the commission is concerned and will visit the hostel for an inquiry.
