Nearly 60% of money lost to cybercrime in Telangana is from stock-trading and investment frauds, stated Shikha Goel, Principal Secretary, Home, and Telangana Cyber Security Bureau Director. Over the past two years, ₹455 crore has been recovered from cyber fraudsters. Goel noted that organised cybercrime networks increasingly exploit human behaviour and trust, with operations extending to countries like Vietnam, Myanmar, and Cambodia. She advised citizens to pause, think, and verify before sharing money or personal information to prevent becoming victims.

तेलंगाना साइबर सुरक्षा ब्यूरो की निदेशक और गृह विभाग की प्रधान सचिव शिखा गोयल ने बताया कि तेलंगाना में साइबर अपराध से होने वाले नुकसान का लगभग 60% हिस्सा स्टॉक-ट्रेडिंग और निवेश धोखाधड़ी से जुड़ा है। पिछले दो सालों में साइबर ठगों से ₹455 करोड़ की वसूली की गई है। गोयल ने कहा कि संगठित साइबर अपराध नेटवर्क इंसानी व्यवहार और भरोसे का फायदा उठा रहे हैं, और ये वियतनाम, म्यांमार और कंबोडिया जैसे देशों तक फैले हुए हैं। उन्होंने नागरिकों को पैसे या व्यक्तिगत जानकारी साझा करने से पहले रुकने, सोचने और सत्यापित करने की सलाह दी ताकि वे शिकार न बनें।
