An old video of veteran actor Nana Patekar discussing the 'Natsamrat curse' has resurfaced following his passing. Patekar had previously revealed that he refused to perform the iconic Marathi play on stage due to its emotional intensity. He explained that several actors who played the lead role, including Dr Shriram Lagoo, Dutta Bhatt, and Chandrakant Gokhale, died of heart attacks. Patekar believed that dedicating his entire being to the demanding stage role could have led to his premature death, contrasting it with the immortality of film roles.
