Daily coal supplies to India's power sector have seen a significant increase of approximately 36 percent from the low recorded in September. The rate at which coal stocks are being depleted has also moderated considerably, with the daily drawdown falling by more than half. Rail loading has improved, averaging over 465 rakes per day in October, indicating a strengthening supply chain. The Coal Ministry clarified that 'critical stock' tags are early warnings, not indicators of imminent power shortages or generation loss.
