Indian equity markets experienced a significant rally on Tuesday, with both the Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex gaining over 1.5%. This surge was fueled by positive comments from Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman regarding long-term capital gains tax and securities transaction tax, alongside a strong performance in IT stocks. Better-than-expected technology earnings further boosted investor confidence in corporate profit growth. The Nifty IT sector led the gains, surging more than 5%, while broader markets also participated in the upward trend.
