A Gurgaon court has ordered the attachment of salaries for two senior Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) officials. This action follows HSVP's failure to pay enhanced compensation to a landowner for land acquired in 2013. The Punjab and Haryana High Court had previously ordered the compensation to be increased to Rs 7.7 crore per acre in February 2022. Despite court directives, the landowner has not yet received the payment, prompting the execution proceedings. The court emphasized that government undertakings must satisfy decrees promptly and directed officials to ensure compliance.
