Actor Crispin Glover Buys Czech Chateau, Converts Stables Into Film Studios

Times of India · entertainment

In 2003, actor Crispin Glover purchased a neglected 17th-century chateau in the Czech Republic, aiming to establish a permanent base for his independent film productions. The sprawling estate, located in Konárovice near Prague, offered ample space for sets and workshops. Glover personally oversaw restoration efforts, uncovering hidden 18th-century murals beneath layers of paint. He also converted the property's former horse stables into two large shooting stages, creating a dedicated film-making facility outside the United States.
