Kerala HC Asked to Measure Land Occupied by CPM's AKG Centre

An application has been filed in the Kerala High Court seeking a directive for revenue officials to measure the land occupied by the CPM's AKG Centre in Thiruvananthapuram. The PIL alleges the centre was built on encroached University of Kerala land, claiming it now possesses around 55 cents, significantly more than the 15 cents reportedly assigned in 1977. The petitioner also stated that measurement proceedings were previously resisted by the Centre's authorities.

केरल हाई कोर्ट में एक अर्जी दायर की गई है जिसमें राजस्व अधिकारियों को तिरुवनंतपुरम में CPM के AKG सेंटर द्वारा कब्जाई गई जमीन को मापने का निर्देश देने की मांग की गई है। जनहित याचिका में आरोप लगाया गया है कि सेंटर यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ केरल की अतिक्रमित जमीन पर बनाया गया है, और दावा किया गया है कि अब इसमें लगभग 55 सेंट जमीन है, जो 1977 में आवंटित 15 सेंट से काफी ज्यादा है। याचिकाकर्ता ने यह भी कहा कि पहले सेंटर के अधिकारियों ने मापन कार्यवाही का विरोध किया था।
