लेफ्ट पार्टियों और छात्र समूहों के सदस्यों ने कलाबुर्गी रेलवे स्टेशन पर विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने मतदाता सूची के विशेष गहन संशोधन को वापस लेने और मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञान प्रकाश को हटाने की मांग की। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने आरोप लगाया कि यह संशोधन असंवैधानिक है और इसका उद्देश्य 13 करोड़ से अधिक लोगों को मताधिकार से वंचित करना है। उन्होंने केंद्र सरकार पर विरोध के अधिकार को दबाने का भी आरोप लगाया। इस प्रदर्शन में दो घंटे तक प्लेटफॉर्म पर धरना दिया गया, जिसमें प्रदर्शनकारियों और पुलिस के बीच झड़प हुई। आयोजकों ने अपनी मांगों के पूरा होने तक आंदोलन तेज करने की कसम खाई है।
