Times of India · education

The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) has withdrawn its proposed 48-hour bandh after the Arunachal Pradesh government agreed to address several education-related demands. These include the revival of Toru Engineering College, infrastructure development at 56 government schools, and an inquiry into the utilisation of Rs 500 crore under ‘Mission Shikshit Arunachal’. The government also committed to initiating recruitment for teaching and non-teaching posts at Toru Engineering College, aiming for its operationalisation by the 2027-28 academic session.
