Delhi's AQI Dips to 'Poor' Category Ahead of Diwali; Further Deterioration Expected
Mint · environment
Delhi's air quality has fallen into the 'poor' category with an AQI of 261, a significant jump from the 'moderate' level recorded previously. This deterioration is attributed to dropping temperatures and fog, which trap pollutants. Experts predict the air quality will worsen further this week, potentially reaching the 'very poor' category before Diwali. In response, anti-pollution measures including vehicle restrictions and a cap on office attendance have been implemented. Stubble burning is also contributing to the pollution.
