India to Consider Bihar Concerns on Ganga Treaty

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has assured Janata Dal (U) MP Sanjay Jha that Bihar's concerns will be considered before renewing the 1996 India-Bangladesh Ganga treaty. Jha had complained that the treaty negatively impacted Bihar. The current treaty is scheduled to expire on December 31.

भारत गंगा संधि पर बिहार की चिंताओं पर विचार करेगा

विदेश मंत्री एस. जयशंकर ने जनता दल (यू) के सांसद संजय झा को भरोसा दिलाया है कि 1996 के भारत-बांग्लादेश गंगा संधि के नवीनीकरण से पहले बिहार की चिंताओं पर ध्यान दिया जाएगा। झा ने शिकायत की थी कि संधि का बिहार पर नकारात्मक असर पड़ा है। वर्तमान संधि 31 दिसंबर को समाप्त हो रही है।
