Kerala's government has identified approximately 930 acres for developing logistics infrastructure to address high warehouse rentals and limited storage facilities near the Vizhinjam seaport. Acquisition proceedings for 230 acres are currently underway. The state aims to boost services linked to the port, which is developing into a major maritime gateway. While the government is exploring subsidy mechanisms to make land more affordable for private developers, it has ruled out fixing uniform rental rates for private warehouses, stating they are determined by market conditions.

केरल सरकार ने विझिंजम बंदरगाह के पास ऊंचे वेयरहाउस किराए और सीमित भंडारण सुविधाओं से निपटने के लिए लॉजिस्टिक्स इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर विकसित करने के लिए लगभग 930 एकड़ जमीन की पहचान की है। 230 एकड़ जमीन के अधिग्रहण की प्रक्रिया फिलहाल चल रही है। राज्य का लक्ष्य बंदरगाह से जुड़ी सेवाओं को बढ़ावा देना है, जो एक प्रमुख समुद्री प्रवेश द्वार के रूप में विकसित हो रहा है। हालांकि सरकार निजी डेवलपर्स के लिए जमीन को अधिक किफायती बनाने के लिए सब्सिडी तंत्र की खोज कर रही है, लेकिन उसने निजी वेयरहाउस के लिए समान किराया दरें तय करने की संभावना को खारिज कर दिया है, यह कहते हुए कि वे बाजार की स्थितियों से निर्धारित होते हैं।
