A property owner in Coimbatore has been booked by the Thudiyalur police following a dispute with his tenant. The tenant, V Manivel, alleged that the landlord, R Kulanthai Kumar, repeatedly disconnected electricity, causing financial losses. After vacating the premises, Manivel returned to find items worth Rs 7 lakh damaged. An inquiry confirmed the landlord's responsibility for the damage. The landlord failed to appear for an inquiry despite a notice, leading to a case being registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
