Karl Bushby, a 57-year-old ex-paratrooper, has completed his 28-year journey walking around the world, returning to his mother's home in northern England. He began his odyssey in 1998 from Punta Arenas, Chile, covering 51,000 kilometers across four continents and 30 countries. Bushby navigated challenging terrains, including the Bering Strait and Caspian Sea, while avoiding any form of transport. Bureaucratic hurdles and visa struggles significantly extended his original five-year estimate to nearly three decades. He credited the kindness of strangers and many individuals for his successful return.
