Establishments will be categorized as low, medium, or high-risk (G1, G2, G3) based on factors like fire load and hazardous materials. This aims to align safety requirements with specific industry hazards. The department is also exploring technology like IoT for monitoring firefighting systems and standardizing NOC processes. Stakeholders discussed these proposals at a workshop in Secunderabad, with feedback to refine the framework.
