UP Man Burns Wife Alive Over Suspected Affair, Flees With Children

A woman was allegedly tied to a chair and set ablaze by her husband in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district over suspicion of an extramarital affair. The accused, identified as 35-year-old Sukhbir Singh, reportedly fled the scene with their two young children after committing the crime. Villagers alerted authorities, and firefighters took nearly 90 minutes to extinguish the blaze, finding only the woman's skeletal remains. The couple had a dispute two days prior, which was discussed at a police post. Sukhbir remains absconding as police conduct raids.
