France saw over 550,000 participants in demonstrations concerning living costs, school conditions, and public spending. Portugal's protests focused on low wages and a worsening housing crisis, while Belgium's saw clashes over education costs. Italy's demonstrations against the cost of living also included opposition to wars, with some protests turning violent and resulting in arrests.
