Amritsar Encounter: ASI Shooter Karanbir Killed

Amritsar police have killed Karanbir Singh Karan, an accused in the Bhalla village firing case, in an encounter. Karanbir was accused of shooting ASI Jaswant Singh near Bhalla village. He had reportedly escaped from police custody a few days prior and was allegedly planning another major crime. During the police operation to apprehend him, Karanbir allegedly opened fire on the police team, leading to a retaliatory exchange. He sustained bullet injuries and later died. One police officer was also reported injured in the incident.
