EPFO has raised the salary limit for EPF coverage from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 per month, effective October. This change is expected to bring over 51 lakh additional employees under the PF umbrella, providing them with retirement savings, pension benefits, and insurance coverage. Employees earning ₹20,000 monthly will see a reduction in take-home pay but gain EPF savings and benefits. Those earning ₹25,000 will have higher deductions. For individuals earning ₹35,000, their contribution might be capped at ₹25,000, impacting their final pension calculations.
