Ludhiana Family Assaulted, Gun Fired Ahead of Court Hearing; 8 Booked

A couple and six associates have been booked for attempted murder in Ludhiana after allegedly assaulting a family and firing a gunshot on October 27. The bullet missed the intended target and hit a door. Police suspect the attack was intended to intimidate the family into withdrawing from an upcoming court hearing on November 18, related to an earlier case against the accused. The accused have been booked under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are currently at large. Efforts are underway to apprehend them.

लुधियाना में एक दंपत्ति और उनके छह साथियों पर 27 अक्टूबर को एक परिवार पर कथित तौर पर हमला करने और गोली चलाने के आरोप में हत्या के प्रयास का मामला दर्ज किया गया है। गोली निशाने पर नहीं लगी और दरवाजे में जा लगी। पुलिस को शक है कि यह हमला आरोपियों के खिलाफ एक पुराने मामले से जुड़ी 18 नवंबर की आगामी कोर्ट सुनवाई से परिवार को पीछे हटने के लिए डराने के इरादे से किया गया था। आरोपियों के खिलाफ भारतीय न्याय संहिता की विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है और वे फिलहाल फरार हैं। उन्हें पकड़ने के प्रयास जारी हैं।
