Two contract workers tragically died from asphyxiation after inhaling toxic gas while cleaning a 15-foot-deep stormwater drain sump in Chennai's Kodungaiyur area on Monday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Naveen and Ahmed Basha. Fire and rescue services personnel successfully recovered their bodies from the sump. The recovered bodies have been sent for postmortem examination. Further investigations into the incident are currently underway to determine the exact cause.

चेन्नई के कोडुंगईयूर इलाके में सोमवार दोपहर को 15 फुट गहरे सीवेज नाले की सफाई करते समय जहरीली गैस में सांस लेने से दो ठेका मजदूरों की दुखद मौत हो गई। मृतकों की पहचान नवीन और अहमद बशा के रूप में हुई है। दमकल और बचाव सेवा कर्मियों ने नाले से उनके शवों को सफलतापूर्वक बाहर निकाला। बरामद शवों को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया गया है। घटना के सटीक कारणों का पता लगाने के लिए आगे की जांच चल रही है।
