The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has penalised nine digital platforms for using 'dark patterns'. These deceptive user interface designs manipulate consumer choices. Platforms like IndiGo, Zepto, FirstCry, Physics Wallah, and SpiceJet were among those fined. This action aims to protect consumers from unfair trade practices online and ensure transparency in digital transactions.
