India's Vegetable Oil Imports Rise 1.50% In August

India's vegetable oil imports reached 15.72 lakh tonnes of edible oils and 37,150 tonnes of non-edible oils in August 2026. This marks a 1.50% increase in edible oil imports compared to July 2026. The rise was driven by higher demand for crude soybean oil, which saw a 11% increase in imports, and refined soybean oil, up 19%. Overall vegetable oil imports for the first ten months of the 2025-26 oil year are up 4% year-on-year.

अगस्त 2026 में भारत का वनस्पति तेल आयात 15.72 लाख टन खाद्य तेल और 37,150 टन गैर-खाद्य तेल रहा। यह जुलाई 2026 की तुलना में खाद्य तेल आयात में 1.50% की वृद्धि है। क्रूड सोयाबीन तेल की मांग बढ़ने से यह बढ़ोतरी हुई, जिसके आयात में 11% और रिफाइंड सोयाबीन तेल के आयात में 19% की वृद्धि देखी गई। 2025-26 तेल वर्ष के पहले दस महीनों में कुल वनस्पति तेल आयात पिछले साल की तुलना में 4% बढ़ा है।
