RBI Rejects Tata Sons Listing Exemption Plea

The Reserve Bank of India has rejected Tata Sons' application to surrender its core investment company registration. This decision means the Tata Group holding company will remain classified as an Upper Layer NBFC, making a mandatory stock-market listing unavoidable. Tata Sons had sought to avoid this by repaying over Rs 21,000 crore in debt and applying to operate as an unregulated entity. The rejection sets the stage for Tata Sons to become publicly traded.

आरबीआई ने टाटा संस की लिस्टिंग छूट की अर्जी ठुकराई

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (RBI) ने टाटा संस की कोर इन्वेस्टमेंट कंपनी का रजिस्ट्रेशन सरेंडर करने की अर्ज़ी खारिज कर दी है। इसका मतलब है कि टाटा ग्रुप की होल्डिंग कंपनी अपर लेयर NBFC बनी रहेगी और उसे स्टॉक मार्केट में लिस्ट होना ही पड़ेगा। टाटा संस ने 21,000 करोड़ रुपये से ज़्यादा का कर्ज़ चुकाकर अनरेगुलेटेड एंटिटी के तौर पर काम करने की कोशिश की थी। इस फैसले से टाटा संस का पब्लिक होना तय है।
